The largest sales coaching research is back for a third year. Take part and win
The largest sales coaching research is back for a third year in a row, and the State of Sales Coaching 2027 survey is your chance to help shape it.
At its heart is a simple gap. Sales leaders almost always say coaching matters, yet their reps often describe a very different experience of how much coaching they get.
The report exists to put both views side by side, so sales teams can see where coaching is working, where it is not, and what that means for how they coach.
The survey is open now, and everyone who takes part goes into a prize draw. The prizes are below.
What we are asking this year
This year's survey goes beneath the headlines. Here is a taste of what we are exploring:
- Where coaching really sits in a manager's week. Between forecasting, hiring, deal reviews and admin, where does coaching actually rank, and where do managers wish it ranked?
- The topics people want help with but would not raise. Some subjects are easy to bring to your manager. Others, like confidence or burnout, are harder. We want to see where that line falls.
- Manager blind spots. Do the coaching skills managers say they are strongest at match what their reps say?
- Is AI coaching really coaching? From AI roleplay to conversation intelligence, we are asking what people find genuinely useful, what they would really use, and whether AI can do the job on its own.
- Who owns coaching? Reps, managers, senior sales leaders and sales enablement each answer for their own role, so we can see where views line up and where they do not.
We are also asking last year's core questions again, on how often people are coached and how good it is, so we can see what has changed.
Why your voice matters
A coaching report is only useful if it reflects everyone in the room. Reps, managers, senior sales leaders and enablement teams all see coaching from a different seat, and we need each view to get the full picture.
The more people who take part, the more reliable the benchmark becomes for every sales team that uses it. If you have a view on how coaching really works in your business, this is your chance to add it.
Share your email at the end and we will send you a copy of the report when it is ready, so you can see how your own experience compares.
Take part and you could win
Everyone who takes part is entered into our prize draw, with six prizes to win:
- AirPods 5
- A Fortnum & Mason luxury hamper
- A De'Longhi coffee machine
- Three annual MySalesCoach subscriptions, each worth £660
Winners will be drawn after the survey closes on October 31st 2026.
